Jennifer Mary Jenna” Elfman was born in Los Angeles, California, to Sue (Grace) Butala and Richard Butala on September 30, 1971. Her father is a Hughes Aircraft executive, while her mother is a stay-at-home mom. Her uncle Tony Butala was the lead vocalist of the American vocal quartet The Lettermen, and she has two siblings. She began studying ballet at the Westside School of Ballet when she was five years old, but due to an injury, she had to stop.
